He was also the 1973 High School Rodeo World Champion in Steer Wrestling.

Dee Butterfield Barrel HorsesDee started rounding the barrels when she was 11 years old and has not stopped. She was named one of the top 15 Barrel Racers in the World going to the National Finals Rodeo in 1975 and won the Canadian Barrel Racing Championship in 1992. Dee has qualified for the Canadian Finals Rodeo a total of 11 times on five different horses. And she has ridden many horses to Futurity and Derby championships. Dee has been a barrel racing and horsemanship clinician for over 30 years, assisting hundreds of riders to pursue their dreams. Although she has always raised and trained several barrel racing prospects per year, it is within the last fifteen years that her interest in breeding the barrel race horse has become her focus.

With over six decades of rodeo experience and horseman's knowledge, Craig and Dee know their horses! Originally they stood the Stallion, Sonitas Chula Joe (Sonitas Last, world champion cutting horse stallion by Peppy San out of Eternal Chula, NFR, CFR barrel racing mare) and Goasohol (son of "Mito Paint"). Presently at stud are Raisin The Moon and Perfect Possibility, stallions carrying world class race blood lines. Also for sale are offspring from 20 proven performers and/or proven producing mare of performance and race families.
